How adults can help?

PrayNet Münsterschwarzach - Schreiben
Christian of all denominations from all over the world are invited to help young people who want to participate in the PrayNet:

  • They can order the necessary material.
  • They explain the project and talk about praying.
  • They help the children to write the prayers.
  • They visibly reproduce the PrayNet with a real net.
  • They send the cards and further material to a PrayNet-partner.
  • They ask the PrayNet-partner likewise to have cards written and have them sent back.

That's how the intention of exchanging prayers can be realised.

Every child writing a prayer in a card becomes a part of the worldwide PrayNet.

What the children do?

"Do not just tie your own net, come on and tie the PrayNet."

Children and young people all over the world are invited to exchange prayers via PrayNet. Those prayers can reflect their own dreams, wishes and concerns. They should be written in the PrayNet-cards in their mother tongue and if necessary in an appropriate translation.

How to take part?

  • If you wish to take part you should ask your youth leader, parish priest or teacher to give you one or more PrayNet-cards.
  • Write your prayer in your mother tongue and if possible in an appropriate translation / English.
  • Put a piece of thread in the PrayNet-card.
  • Fold the envelope (see instructions on the inside), put the card in it and seal it with the adhesive stickers.
  • Give this letter back to your youth leader, parish priest or teacher.

As soon as possible you will receive a similar card written by another child. The threads are meant to be tied to a real net which can represent the worldwide PrayNet.

What the PrayNet-partners do?

Christians of all denominations who have received PrayNet-cards are invited to enable other young people to take part.

  • They explain the project and talk about praying.
  • They distribute the PrayNet-cards they have received to the participants.
  • They encourage them to write their own prayers in their PrayNet-cards.
  • They address their PrayNet-cards to their partner.
  • They tie the real net with the threads they have received.

That's how the intention of directly exchanging prayers is being realized.

Every participant will become a part of the worldwide PrayNet.
