St Mary’s College ist eine katholische Privatschule, die von den Christian
Brothers gegründet wurde. Crosby liegt in Nordwestengland in der Nähe von
Liverpool (jetzt berühmt als Europäische Kulturhauptstadt und, natürlich wegen
der Beatles). St Mary’s hat 700 Schülerinnen und Schüler in den Sekundarstufen I
und II. St Mary’s College hat im Jahre 2000 ein Austauschprogramm mit dem
Egbert-Gymnasium angefangen und hat sich seither auch dem Pray-Net-Programm
angeschlossen. Das Programm ist jetzt ein fester Bestandteil des
Austauschprogramms. Während des Aufenthalts der deutschen Schüler in Crosby
arbeiten sie mit den Schülern der 7. Klasse für das Pray-Net. Sie übersetzen
Gebete und schreiben zusammen mit unseren Schülern neue Gebete, worauf unsere
Schüler der Klasse 7 sehr stolz sind.

St Mary’s is a Catholic independent school which was
founded by the Christian Brothers. Crosby is in the north west of England, close
to Liverpool (now famous for its European Capital of Culture status and, of
course, because of the Beatles). St Mary’s is co-educational and has about 700
pupils at secondary school level. The college started an exchange programme with
the Egbert-Gymnasium in 2000 and since then has not only been involved in the
annual exchange between the two schools, but has also joined the Pray-Net
programme. The Pray-Net has since become an integral part of the exchange
programme: the German exchange students work with our year 7 pupils during the
exchange week in Crosby, translating and writing new prayers, and our pupils are
very proud to be a part of the Pray-Net.
